It’s the new year, 2024! And Ultimate Kho Kho Season 2 is proud to celebrate it with you by giving you two entertaining games to kickstart the year.

The top spot on the UKK Season 2 points table is again up for grabs as Gujarat Giants and Chennai Quick Guns lock horns in the opening fixture of 2024. Meanwhile, Rajasthan Warriors eye a New Year miracle against Telugu Yoddhas.

Here is what to expect on Matchday 8 of Ultimate Kho Kho Season 2.

Match 15: Gujarat Giants vs Chennai Quick Guns

A victory over defending champions Odisha Juggernauts on Matchday 6 sent Gujarat Giants to the summit of the Ultimate Kho Kho Season 2 points table. With 34 attack points on average and 16 Dream Runs in the bag, the Giants will take the front seat in this encounter as the ‘in-form’ side.

But don’t get carried away much because the Chennai Quick Guns are equally a force to reckon with in UKK Season 2. The mercurial Ramji Kashyap is poised to be a thorn in the flesh of the Gujarat Giants and guide Chennai to end the current league leaders’ winning streak of four games.

Match 16: Rajasthan Warriors vs Telugu Yoddhas

With five straight defeats in Ultimate Kho Kho Season 2, Rajasthan Warriors face an uphill task to put their rough patch to rest against the Telugu Yoddhas.

The Warriors came close to winning their first game of the season against Mumbai Khiladis on Matchday 7 but suffered a narrow one-point defeat (30-31) after a last-gasp Dream Run from the Khiladis in the final 20 seconds. Majahar Jamadar, the captain of Rajasthan Warriors, was not involved in the game and will target a triumphant return to steady the ship back into safe waters. 

Telugu, conversely, will enter the tie fresh with the confidence of outclassing Odisha Juggernauts with a sneaky one-point victory (29-28). Having cemented their place on almost every stats chart for the campaign, the Telugu Yoddhas will go all out to claim not only three crucial points but also go into the top three spots on the UKK leaderboard.
