Ultimate Kho Kho Season 2 has its first two Playoffs contestants - Telugu Yoddhas and Gujarat Giants. And with two spots up for grabs, here comes Matchday 12 with some probable contenders.

Odisha Juggernauts will look to continue their title defence with a win over Gujarat Giants, confirming their participation in the next round. Meanwhile, Chennai Quick Guns, coming off a loss, have another shot at booking their Playoff seat courtesy of a convincing result against Mumbai Khiladis.

Here is what to expect from Matchday 12 of Ultimate Kho Kho Season 2.

Match 23: Gujarat Giants vs Odisha Juggernauts

The Odisha Juggernauts, with 14 points from seven games, are in a do-or-die scenario to keep their title defence alive. The current holders, who sit fourth on the Ultimate Kho Kho Season 2 points table, will look to bring back their earlier form in the season on Saturday - the form that saw them win their first three games convincingly.

But, standing in their way is a confident Gujarat Giants with five wins in seven outings in UKK Season 2. Fresh from a record-breaking 24-point victory over Rajasthan Warriors, the Giants will look to claim a win and deny Odisha the opportunity to qualify for the Playoffs.

Match 24: Mumbai Khiladis vs Chennai Quick Guns

Chennao Quick Guns are on the verge of qualification for the Ultimate Kho Kho Season 2 Playoffs, and the only way for them to make it through is with a win over Mumbai Khiladis. And considering that the Quick Guns are 3-0 ahead in the head-to-head against the Khiladis, perhaps a one-sided contest is on the cards unless….

Unless Mumbai Khiladis overcome their hot-and-cold attitude in closing games, they could end their losing streak against the Chennai Quick Guns. The Khiladis will have an arduous task at hand keeping the likes of Ramji Kashyap and Laxman Gawas at bay, but if they take a cue from the Telugu Yoddhas’ latest victory over the Quick Guns, Mumbai - led by Sreejesh S - could return to winning ways and keep their faint hopes of qualification alive.
