Here is Ultimate Kho Kho Season 2’s finalist, the Chennai Quick Guns. THE simply unstoppable team; THE team that has dominated the numbers charts; THE team that has been the Comeback Kings in so many ways possible; THE team that has lost only once this term; THE team that ‘quickly’ made themselves title contenders during the season.

So, how has their journey been so far? Well, we trace it for you.

December 25, 2023 - A win on Christmas: The Quick Guns gave their fans a perfect gift for the festive season with a comfortable win over last season’s runners-up, Telugu Yoddhas. From taking an 18:0 in Turn 1 to ultimately sealing a 38-32 win over the Yoddhas. The Hero? Ramji Kashyap with 14 points in total and an active time of approximately three minutes.

December 26, 2023 - Now that’s called a tie-rrific battle: The passion, the aggression, the determination and lastly, the commitment - all took centre stage in the hard-fought 34-34 draw against the Odisha Juggernauts. Ramji Kashyap (8 points and an active time over 5.28 minutes) was the choirmaster once again as he inspired a Turn 4 counter-attack - 22-34 within two minutes, 28-34 within five minutes, 32-34 in the sixth minute and a Dream Run in the dying seconds to get the scores tied at 34-34.

December 29, 2023 - Another come-from-behind victory: Another day and another comeback! This seems to be a pattern that is bound to make them synonymous with. The Chennai Quick Guns were 14 points behind at the final stage, but the Yellow Brigade - thanks to Sachin Bhargo, Durvesh Salunkhe, Ramji Kashyap and Laxman Gawas - turned the tables and secured a 31-27 victory.

December 30, 2023 - Four games unbeaten!: Chennai Quick Guns faced a struggling Mumbai Khiladis and gave them a lesson on how a team should maintain and keep its advantage all through a game. Laxman Gawas, Ramji Kashyap and Durvesh Salunkhe anchored the cause as the Quick Guns sealed a 36-31 win and also claimed the top spot on the points table.

January 1, 2024 - A win to start the new year: Beat a top opponent, win a top-of-the-table clash, play a top performance, register a top victory and pocket the top spot in the bag - all went as per plan for the Chennai Quick Guns against the Gujarat Giants. From 10-17 at half-time to 35-29 at full time, the Quick Guns opened the doors to 2024 with a stylish victory.

January 2, 2024 - Fair and square once again: As witnessed in their previous encounter in the season, Chennai Quick Guns once again came from behind to settle for a draw against a visibly spirited Odisha Juggernauts. With the score at 28-30 and just 0:05 seconds left on the clock, it was now-or-never for the Quick Guns to snatch a draw. The mercurial Ramji Kashyap took out defender Vishal, and that got the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium to erupt in disbelief upon witnessing one of the moments of the season.

January 5, 2024 - The first (and only) defeat arrives: Every good journey needs a resting point, and that came for the Chennai Quick Guns in their seventh game of Ultimate Kho Kho Season 2. A 30-38 defeat to Telugu Yoddhas meant the Quick Guns had to wait another day to seal their attendance for the UKK Season 2 Playoffs.

January 6, 2024 - The Demolition job pt 1: With the sole mission of claiming a Playoffs berth, Chennai Quick Guns showed their dominance from the get-go against Mumbai Khiladis. The result? An authoritative 41-18 triumph, a Playoffs ticket and a return to the summit of the Ultimate Kho Kho Season 2 points table.

January 8, 2024 - The Demolition job pt 2: If the humbling of Mumbai Khiladis was not enough, the Chennai Quick Guns took things up a notch to draw the curtains of Rajasthan Warriors' disheartening campaign with a daunting 42-19 victory. Sachin Bhargo dismissing two defenders with one Sky Dive, Madan's eight-point Dream Run, a 33-point lead at the end of Turn 3 and finally another 40-point plus score on the board - this was by far one of the most one-sided victories in the competition's history.

January 9, 2024 - Meet the winners of the league phase!: A fantastic campaign for the Chennai Quick Guns was rewarded with a win and a top-of-the-table honour. The trio of Sachin Bhargo, Vijay Shinde and Ramji Kashyap were merciless on the mat against the Gujarat Giants and inspired the Quick Guns to a commanding result in the final league game of Ultimate Kho Kho Season 2.

January 11, 2024 - Chennai, finalists of UKK Season 2: In the last edition, the Telugu Yoddhas cut short the Chennai Quick Guns' journey to the Final in their Eliminator matchup. History repeated itself when both teams met in the second semi-final of Ultimate Kho Kho Season 2. But this time around, the result was different as the Quick Guns put the old ghosts to rest with a 31-29 victory and set up a date with Gujarat Giants in the Ultimate Kho Kho Season 2 Final on January 13.
