Day 6 of Ultimate Kho Kho (UKK) gave us some captivating moments and Day 7 promises to bring in another eventful day of Kho Kho as action resumes. Telugu Yoddhas made a roaring comeback against Rajasthan Warriors and are all set to take on Mumbai Khiladis in the first game of the night at Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex, Mahalunge, Pune. After having a bad day at the office against the Odisha Juggernauts, Gujarat Giants will look to bounce back against Chennai Quick Guns in the second contest on Tuesday.

Let’s have a look at what all to expect on the seventh matchday of UKK.

Match 13: Telugu Yoddhas vs Mumbai Khiladis

Telugu Yoddhas hit the ground running and bounced back really well against Rajasthan Warriors. They are on a rise and are placed at the second position on the points table. The Yoddhas have won three games and have lost one so far. They are an attack-heavy side as they have inflicted three All Outs, which is the best for any team in UKK. Sachin Bhargo with 11 points to his credits was the Attacker of the Match in the previous game against Rajasthan Warriors. Arun Gunki, the All Rounder was the Defender of the Match with 58 seconds but he is also exceptional in the attack. He is third in the top Attackers tally with 43 points. They would expect these two to fire all cylinders when they meet Mumbai Khiladis on 23rd August.

On the other hand, Mumbai Khiladis played their last game on the 19th August and they will be back on the mat after three days. They are currently placed at fifth on the points table with just one win in the four games they have played in the competition. They will rely on Sreejesh S and Durvesh Salunke to fire in the upcoming game. The former, who is actually known for his attack, is the top Defender in the season so far with 7:39 seconds of defending time on the mat. With 30 touch points, he is the top touch points scorer in the tournament as well. Durvesh Salunke, on the other hand, is the third best Wazir of the season with 30 Wazir points to his name.

Match 14: Gujarat Giants vs Chennai Quick Guns

After three straight wins, Gujarat Giants suffered their first-ever loss in Ultimate Kho Kho history against Odisha Juggernauts in a close finish. They would look to pick themselves up when they meet Chennai Quick Guns in their next game. They are a strong attacking side. The Gujarat-based franchise has been one of the most balanced teams in the tournament. Abhinandan Patil, the Attacker has scored 35 points in four matches this season. He has also been the player with most Not Outs with a count of six. He is the second-best Wazir in the tournament. He would be a trump card for them in this game.

Chennai Quick Guns are fourth in the standings with two wins and two losses. They have looked like a promising side in the previous two games. Ramji Kashyap has been a star for them so far with 46 attacking points and 7:08 seconds of defending time. They would also be hoping for their Attackers, V Kabilan and P Narasayya to contribute as they have amassed 21 and 18 points, respectively. Table-toppers Gujarat Giants will be returning to this game after losing their previous game while Chennai Quick Guns will be looking for their third win in a row. All in all, a cracker-jack of a match is on the cards.
