On Tuesday, we saw two magnificent matches in Ultimate Kho Kho and today we will get to see the reverse fixtures of the Day 2 matches. In the first game of Wednesday, Chennai Quick Guns who have won three consecutive matches will be up against Odisha Juggernauts, who are also looking for their fourth win in the competition. Mumbai Khiladis have lost a third game on the trot and will be facing winless Rajasthan Warriors in the second game of the night at the Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex, Mahalunge, Pune.

Let’s have a look at what all to expect on the eighth matchday of UKK.

Match 15: Chennai Quick Guns vs Odisha Juggernauts

Chennai Quick Guns have been terrific in the last three matches. In the five matches played so far, they have won three and have lost two. Their defence has done all the hard yards in the three matches they have won this season. They are the second-best defending side in the tournament with 30 points. Ramji Kashyap, their ace All-Rounder has been the top Attacker in the competition with 66 points in five matches. The Quick Guns would want him to go all guns blazing in the upcoming game. P Narasayya, the Attacker who has scored 27 points so far, can play the second fiddle to Ramji Kashyap. Madan has also been a key contributor to the side with 25 points. They have looked like a different side after losing their first two matches.

Odisha Juggernauts, on the other hand, are placed just above their opponents Chennai Quick Guns, at the third spot in the points table with three wins and a loss against their name. They have played some good Kho Kho but most of their matches have been close finishes. They have a few key players with the likes of Mahesha P., who has scored 22 points, Suraj Lande who has scored 25 points and Milind Chavrekar with 23 points to his credits. Subhasis Santra has been their top Wazir of the tournament with 38 points. Mahesha P and Dilip Khandavi were their best Attacker and Defender in the last game they played against Chennai Quick Guns. It has almost been an identical tournament so far for both teams with three wins to their name and we can expect a tight finish in this upcoming match.

Head-to-Head:

In the last game played between the two teams, Odisha Juggernauts sealed a 51-43 win against Chennai Quick Guns.

Match 16: Mumbai Khiladis vs Rajasthan Warriors

With three successive losses, Mumbai Khiladis have been on a decline in their last three matches. They have won only one game so far in the five matches they have played this season. They are the best team in the competition when it comes to the total touch points scored in the tournament but they have failed to convert these into big ones. The Khiladis will have to work on getting three-point touches in the attack. They will rely on Sreejesh S who has spent 9:36 seconds defending on the mat to be at his top defensive form. They will look to get back to winning ways when they face Rajasthan Warriors.

On the other hand, Rajasthan Warriors have a lot of work to do. They have lost all of their four matches and are still looking to taste success in the tournament. Majahar Jamadar has been their most consistent performer of the tournament so far. He has lacked support from his teammates. He has been the second-best Attacker in the tournament with 65 points to his credits. Others will have to step up and support their captain in order to add points against their team’s name on the points table. Both teams are very weak in defence and will be hungry for a win to keep their hopes alive in the tournament.

Head-to-Head:

In the previous meeting between the two sides, Mumbai Khiladis emerged victorious against Rajasthan Warriors as they beat them by a scoreline of 51-43.
