Vijay is a 26-year-old player who hails from Ichalkaranji, Kolhapur, Maharashtra. He will be seen
donning the Mumbai Khiladis jersey in the maiden Ultimate Kho Kho season.
He started playing the sport when he was 16 years old. Getting selected for the Indian team
while playing for the Railways is his best Kho Kho memory. He has been a season campaigner
for Railways and has won the best Attacker Award, 2019 in Senior National.
His father owns a Paan shop and his mother is a housewife. His mother used to play Kho Kho
but she couldn't pursue it as a career because of family limitations during her school days. So,
he wants to play at the highest level and make sure he fulfills her dream. He preferred Kho Kho
over other sports because it is famous in his village and everyone was supportive. He has
completed his education in B. A. He wants to win the Ultimate Kho Kho trophy for his team.
Apart from Kho Kho, he also likes playing football. Milind Kurpe is his favourite sportsperson.
