Biography

Ranjan is a 32-year-old player who comes from Kalwa, Thane, Maharashtra. He is an Attacker who was roped in by the Gujarat Giants side.

He started playing the sport at the age of 12. His favourite memory is of the time when he was nominated for the Prestigious Eklavya award after the Senior National held in Chhattisgarh. Before he went on to represent the Indian team, he has played for Maharashtra and Railways. He has won the Eklavya award, Gold Medal in South Asian Games, represented the Railways team 8 times in Senior National National Games and was a part of the team which won the Gold Medal in 2011.

His father owns a shop. In his school days, Kho Kho and Kabaddi were popular. Kho Kho was the most played sport in his area and he was good in Kho Kho so he preferred playing Kho Kho over other sports. He is a graduate. He wants people to know more about the sport and also to know them by their name. He wants to give his best and win the league for his side. He likes travelling. Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli are his favourite sportspersons.
