Gaurav is a 24-year-old Kho Kho player who hails from Rohtak, Haryana. He is a Defender who
will strengthen the Mumbai Khiladis defence.

He was in 7th grade when he started playing Kho Kho. His best Kho Kho memory is the time
when he got selected for the first time in the state-level tournament. He will look to make his
presence felt for the Mumbai Khiladis side. He has played at the Senior National 6 times,
attended Asian camp and participated in All India Inter University Championship. He has
competed in six national-level competitions thus far.
He began playing Kho Kho in 2009 after his family relocated from Delhi to Rohtak. He started
playing the game because his friends did, but he eventually acquired a love for it. He used to be
discouraged about his choice of sports, but he never listened to others because he loved
coming to the field, meeting his friends, and enjoying the sport as a kid. He comes from a low-
income family, his mother is a housewife and his father is an auto driver. The main reason for
liking this sport is that it helps him in flexibility and sprinting. He has completed his BPEd. He
wants to represent India at the highest level. His favourite sportsperson is AB de Villiers.
