Biography

Durvesh is a 23-year-old local boy from Mumbai who plays for the city-based franchise Mumbai
Khiladis. He will be seen performing the duties of an Attacker.
He has been playing Kho Kho since he was in 5th grade. His first state level tournament holds a
special place in his heart. He has also attended the National and Asian camps.
His father is a carpenter and his mother is a housewife. He fell in love with the sport because it
helps him in flexibility and sprinting. He used to train in athletics before he switched to Kho
Kho. His coach Kaka Pathankar asked him to switch the sport after looking at his speed. He had
to leave athletics as he was not able to afford the gear and diet for the sport. His family
supported him a lot when he made the decision. His cousin brothers helped him a lot during his
initial days and never questioned him about his sport gear requirements. He has completed his
Bachelor's in Physical Education from Aurangabad University and now he is pursuing Master of
Physical Education and training in Kho Kho, simultaneously. He is also coaching 11th and 12th
grade teams in Kho Kho, Kabaddi and Athletics. He is hopeful of representing the Indian Kho
Kho team. He likes playing Chess. Kane Williamson is his favourite sportsperson.
